Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
After your arrival in Beijing, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Beijing (B, L, D)
Take full day trip to Tian'anmen Square, The largest city square in the world. Then have a stroll in the Forbidden City, The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties with a history of 600 years. Afterwards, you will go to visit Temple of Heaven -The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation. In the evening (7:15~8:30PM), after dinner, enjoy the Peking Opera Show(or Chinese Acrobat, or Chinese Kongfu show, choose one show from these three options, depending on your interest.)
Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)
Take full day trip to Great Wall, One of the seven wonders in the world and the one of the symbols of China. Then you will visit Ming Tomb and Sacred road, the best preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history, and visiting Changling, the largest one, Emperor Yongle's Tomb (about 2 hours). Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner in the most famous Quanjude Restaurant.
Day 4 Beijing / Shanghai (B, L)
Today you will go to visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years. Visit scenic spots: 1. East palace gate, 2. the hall of benevolence and longevity, 3. hall of jade billows, 4. the hall of joyful longevity, 5. the covered walkway, 6. the marble boat, etc. Be transferred to the railway station for your train to Shanghai: Overnight train (soft sleeper, Z13). Or take afternoon flight to Shanghai. And be transfer to hotel at arrival.
Day 5 Shanghai (B, L)
Today you will visit Shanghai Museum, The biggest museum in China, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art and cultural relics. The museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. Also Yu Garden, which is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming Dynasty and it used to be a private garden with 400 years' history. In front of the garden, there is a market called Yu Market. Then you will go to see Oriental Pear TV Tower, the Bund and Nanjing Pedestrian Street.
Day 6 Shanghai (B, L)
Enjoy an amazing evening getting to know night-time Shanghai: the People’s Square, a classic nocturnal view of the Bund, the relaxing Huangpu River Cruise and the wonderful entertainment of Xin Tian Di district. An amazing evening, all in the heart of magical Shanghai! Tonight you will enjoy the Acrobatics Show, the world famous Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe has performed around the globe and is a wonderful night out for visitors to Shanghai.
Day 7 Departure from Shanghai (B)
Transfer to airport for your departure flight.
