Day 1: Arrival in Beijing (L)
Welcome to China! Welcome to Beijing! On arrival, you need to clear Customs and reclaim your luggage. Then, you will be met by our tour guide who is holding a board with your name in the Arrival Hall and transferred to your downtown hotel. After a short rest in hotel, you will be taken to visit Forbidden City, which is the home to emperors for more than 500 years and the most complete imperial palace in China. Afterwards, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
Day 2: Beijing (B/L/D)
In the morning, your tour guide will first take you to visit the wonderful Badaling Great Wall, which is known as the Eighth Wonder of the World. It was built for protecting China from northern invaders more than two thousand years ago. On the way back to downtown Beijing, you will be guided to visit Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. In the evening, you will be taken to enjoy the delicious Peking Roast Duck.
Day 03: Beijing (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will go to visit the impressive Temple of Heaven, where the emperor beseeched Heaven to provide good harvests. In the afternoon, you will continue to visit the Yonghegong Lamasery, a famous Lama temple of the Yellow Hat Sect of Lamaism and the largest Lama temple in Beijing. Later, proceed to Summer Palace, which was built as a royal garden for Qing Dynasty Emperors. Enjoy Beijing Opera in the evening.
Day 4: Beijing - Chongqing (B/L/D)
In the morning, you will be first guided to visit Beijing Hutong, then, be transferred to airport for the flight to Chongqing. On arrival, you will be met by our local guide and transferred to hotel. After a short rest, you will go to visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell if time permits. After dinner in a local restaurant, be transferred to cruise port.
Day 5: Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)
Firstly, you will go ashore to visit Fengdu, the "Ghost City". Later on, you will be the guests at the captain's cocktail party in the evening.
Day 6.Yangtze River Cruise (B/L/D)
This morning, you will first take the cruise through the two of the great Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge, framed by steep mossy cliffs and Wu Gorge, celebrated for its 12 peaks. Afterwards, continue with the shore excursion to Shennong Stream, which is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and features with its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. Keep on sailing through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of the Three Gorges. Then you will pass through the five-step ship locks. In the evening, your tour guide will take you to enjoy the farewell party.
Day 7: Cruise ship- Yichang - Shanghai (B/L)
Today, you will take a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site, which is the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Construction of the dam formally began in 1994. The body of the dam was completed in 2003, and the whole construction will be competed in 2009. After arrival in Yichang at 11:30 a.m, you will be met by our local guide and transferred to airport to connect flight to Shanghai. On arrival, you will be greeted by our local guide and then escorted to your hotel for check-in.
Day 8: Shanghai (B/L/D)
After breakfast, your tour guide will take you to visit the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Museum. And then, you will proceed to visit Yu Garden, the Old Street of Shanghai and Nanjing Road. In the evening, you will get the chance to enjoy the famous Acrobatic Show.
Day 9: Shanghai - Zhouzhuang - Suzhou (B/L)
Today, you will take the one day tour from Shanghai to Zhouzhuang, a Water Village with Criss-crossed waterways; and Suzhou, which is famous for garden. In Suzhou, you will visit Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden and a Silk Factory. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 10: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast, you will take an excursion along the bund, and then, you will be transferred to the airport for departure or next station.
